About Me
Pamela Awana Lee lives among the rolling hills in the Palouse Region of Eastern Washington. Her art materializes through a slow gestation, attentive planning, and steady multi-layered mark making. Though the creation of her pictures develop over prolonged hours, the spirit and the meanings that she hopes to communicate are ephemeral. She is inspired by moments of connection to our world's mysteries, by mood, memory, fleeting connections, nature's temporality, the drama, humor, and the grand beauty of existence.
Pamela Awana is joyfully re-emerging a full time artist having retired from decades teaching university art history courses. Life is good with pencils, paper, paints and board to work with.
